WiFi QR Scanner

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the WiFi QR Scanner Android app (package com.rmr.wifiqrscanner, the "App"), provided by RMR Solutions LLC ("RMR Solutions", "we", "us"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. What the App Does

The App scans QR codes and barcodes with your camera or from images in your gallery. For WiFi QR codes, it reads the network details embedded in the code, shows them (including the password if the code contains one), and lets you connect or copy the password. It also decodes other formats such as contacts, URLs, text, locations and product barcodes, keeps a history of your scans on your device, and can generate QR codes, for example to share your own WiFi with guests.

3. Permissions

• Camera: to scan QR codes and barcodes.
• Photos / media access: only if you choose to scan an image from your gallery.
• WiFi / network access: to connect to a network when you choose to.

You can change permissions at any time in your device settings, though some features may then stop working.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to scan and use only QR codes that you are authorized to use, for example your own networks or networks whose owners have shared the code with you. You agree not to use the App to:

• access a network or service without the owner's permission;
• obtain, share or misuse passwords or credentials that you are not entitled to;
• violate any law, including computer-misuse and unauthorized-access laws; or
• interfere with the App, your device or third-party networks.

5. Safety of Scanned Content

QR codes can contain links, contact data or other content created by third parties. We do not control or verify what a QR code contains, and links may lead to unsafe or malicious sites. Review what a code contains before you open a link, save a contact or connect to a network. You are responsible for your use of any scanned content.

6. Your Data on Your Device

Scan history, including saved WiFi networks and passwords, is stored locally on your device. Anyone with access to your device or to the App may be able to see it. You can delete history in the App. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for the information you generate or share. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your own devices. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, sell, rent or redistribute the App, except where applicable law allows it.

8. Advertising and Third-Party Services

The App may display ads and may use third-party services (for example, advertising and analytics providers). Those providers may process certain device information under their own policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including uninterrupted operation, the ability to read every QR code or barcode, successful connection to any network, or fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RMR Solutions will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the App or from content you scan. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes and Termination

We may update the App or these Terms at any time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
