Projector Remote Control
Last updated: November 4, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Projector Remote Control Android app (package com.rmrsolutions.projector, the "App"), provided by RMR Solutions LLC ("RMR Solutions", "we", "us"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
2. What the App Does
The App turns your Android phone into a universal infrared (IR) remote control for projectors. It sends IR commands such as power, volume, mute, input source, menu navigation, screen size and playback controls through your phone's built-in IR blaster.
3. Device Requirements
- Your phone must have a built-in IR blaster. Without one, the App cannot control a projector.
- Your projector must accept standard IR commands. Compatibility with every brand and model is not guaranteed, and some commands may not work on some models.
4. No Affiliation with Brands
The App is an independent universal remote solution. Projector brands named in the App or its store listing, such as Epson, Panasonic, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Sony, Dell, BenQ, Optoma, Hitachi, JVC, Acer, NEC, ViewSonic and Vivitek, are trademarks of their respective owners. The App is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them. Brand names are used only to describe compatibility.
5. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your own devices to control projectors you own or are authorized to operate. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, sell, rent or redistribute the App, except where applicable law allows it.
6. Acceptable Use
- Only control equipment that you own or have permission to control.
- Do not use the App to disrupt other people's presentations, classrooms, meetings or events.
- Do not use the App in a way that is unlawful or that could damage equipment.
7. Advertising and Third-Party Services
The App may display ads and may use third-party services (for example, advertising and analytics providers). Those providers may process certain device information under their own policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, or compatibility with any specific projector. We do not guarantee that every command will work on every device.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RMR Solutions will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or equipment, arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes and Termination
We may update the App or these Terms at any time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
